At the St Leger every Resident is recognized as an individual. Hence we offer three different lifestyle choices which enable our Residents to receive the assistance and services they want or require.

The income generated by the Levies is not for profit and is solely for the efficient and effective running of The St Leger.

The Levies below are applicable for the year ending July 2012

This is our basic service package which is for all residents. The basic package

The Silver Package enables the Resident to retain their independence whilst not having to concern themselves over the more mundane aspects of life! The Silver Package includes all benefits of the Basic Package and in addition to that it includes the following:

     BASIC HEALTHCARE

3. GOLD PACKAGE - R3, 080 per month Basic + Silver + Gold per month

ADDITIONAL NURSING CARE

Additional levels of nursing care are available if required (See separate Health Care levy Sheet). Personal Nursing and Care-giver services can be arranged by the Sister and Manager – rates will be charged out at the current industry rate.

SPOUSE/2ND OCCUPANT LEVY

The spouse or partner of a Resident is not charged at the same rate as the primary occupant. The following charges apply, dependent on which levy the Primary occupant is on. Both occupants must be on the same level at all times. 2nd Occupant does not pay the property levy.

PROPERTY LEVY: R50.00 PER m2

This levy covers all property related costs including rates, taxes, refuse and sewerage, general maintenance of the interior and exterior of the building, electricity and water, property running costs (e.g. insurance and public liability), property maintenance costs amongst other things. This levy is calculated using area proportional quotient. i.e It is calculated on the size of the unit that the resident occupies.

LEVY STABILISATION

A Levy Stabilisation Fund has been established to stabilize future levy increases. 5% of all sales contribute to this fund, the income from which will be used to offset the effect of inflation on the monthly operating budget.
